What are audit logs

Audit logs are records of actions taken within a system, typically used for security and compliance purposes. They provide a trail of events that can be reviewed to understand how a system was used or to investigate potential security breaches.

How are audit logs generated

Audit logs are generated by the system itself, typically through logging mechanisms that capture information about user actions, system events, and other relevant data. These logs are stored securely with the other data for the organization in a dedicated database.
