What is a suspect link?

A suspect link is a link between two requirements that is not clear or well-defined. It may be a result of a misunderstanding or a lack of clarity in the requirements. Suspect links should be evaluated and cleared as soon as possible to ensure that the requirements are clear and well-defined. To learn more about suspect links, visit the Requirement Links Page .

How Requify shows suspect links

From Requirement Page

On the requirements page, a visual diagram is constructed of linked requirements, both upstream and downstream. A red indicator means the link is suspect and should be evaluated.

In the image below, the link between the current document "esse in" and the downstream "esse dolore" is suspect, as indicated by the red indicators and the "Link is suspect!" text.

The other links are clear, as also clearly indicated.

From Suspect Links Page

Because suspect links are important to be routinely groomed and maintained, Requify gives an easy way to view all suspect links: the Suspect Links page!

This view allows members to quickly navigate the different suspect links, grouped by their upstream requirement.

You can easily navigate to the upstream and downstream documents by clicking their name, or clear the link immediately by clicking the "Clear Suspect Link" button.
